اذا استخدمنا ( if ) الشرطية سيحدث اختلاف في المعني

فيجب ان نفكر في رابط آخر دال علي التناقض و به ( if )

فنجد ان (Although = Even if )

فيصبح الحل بكل بساطة

اعتقد ان الجمله من المفترض تكون حاله تالتة كمان لان الجملة فى الماضى

أعتقد إن من شروط استخدام (If) فى الحالتين الثانية والثالثة لجملة تحتوى على رابط تناقض مثل (But) يجب أن تحتوى جملة الحقيقة قبل (But) على فعل رغبة مثل (wanted / hoped) ولذلك فأصل الجملة كالآتى :
He wanted to study very hard but he failed. وتحول كالاتى :
If he had studied hard, he wouldn't have failed. يحول الإثبات إلى نفى والعكس مع اعتبار أن فعل الرغبة يفيد النفى ويحذف وتبقى الجملة مثبتة عند التحويل
