thanks for your participation. in fact I thought the same until I've thought it over again.To my surprise,I've found out that elder can't be used in comparison.It is a positive adj that proceeds a noun. therefore, the correct choice is the older of the two.
It is serious and should be looked into and after.

mustn't is used when we want to show that something is dangerous , hateful or annoying
for example when a mother says to her child that he or she mustn't touch the stove.

But
She is the oldest and the most beautiful of the three sisters.

Elders can be used as a noun meaning those of an earlier generation implying wiser than we are
You should respect your elders and betters.
