2. What did Augustus win at the age of seven?
3.Why didn’t Augustus succeed in painting thecountry?
4. What does the writer do for a living?
5. How does his memory for faces help him a lot in business?

(3) Viewing: (25 minutes)

(A) New language:

Disheartend: adj. lose hope and confidence.
A sample a small amount of product given free of charge.
Give up stop doing something
My heart was broken I became hopeless.
Selling one’s soul doing something against one’s principles.
Struggle fighting.
Pay for give money in return for something bought.

(B)warm-up ( ask many questions)

1. What kind of story do you think this is: a travel story;a crime story;
a tragic story?

(4)Pre -viewing : (10 minutes)
Answer the following questions:
1. What does the writer forget and what does he remember?
2 What does his wife say about him?
3 Why did he lose good business more than once?

(5) Self-evaluation
