If the main verb is to have, either solution is possible:

He has a book, hasn't he?
He has a book, doesn't he?
I am late, aren't I؟
I am not late,am I?

لأن has هنا جائت فعل أصلي مضارع بسيط وليست فعل مساعد وده الكلام الأكيد

they have a car , don't they?
they have got a car , haven't they?

he had a car , didn't he?
he had bought a car , hadn't he?
has, have, had بدون p.pتعتبر افعال اساسية في الزمن المضارع والماضي البسيط اما اذا جاء بعدهم p.pفهي افعال مساعدة

ياريت الناس تاخد بالها من الأفعال to do - to have- to be لما تكون في الجمله هل هى افعال اساسية ولا مساعدة عشان تعرف تحل فـ has هنا فعل اساسي في المضارع البسيط بمعنى يملك
