تحياتي لهذا المنتدى الرائع الذي استفيد منه كل يوم اكثر واكثر..واليكم تساؤلات حيرتي في فهمها

اولا: المباشر وغير المباشر:
على حد علمي ان في جمل الحقائق عند التغير الى غير مباشر فان الازمنة لا تتغير

Direct «What's your name?» Mr. Ahmed asked.


Indirect Mr. Ahmed asked me what my name is.

وده شفته في احد مذكرات احد الزملاء وانا مقتنع جدا جدا
لكن ليه في كتاب المدرسة والكتب الخارجية بيكون الحل
Indirect Mr. Ahmed asked me what my name was.

ثانيا: شفت في احد الكتب المدرسية وتقريبا في كتاب سنة 6 ابتدائي كان في درس عن الثعلب والغراب وكانوا بيشيروا لهم بالضمير HE فمش فاهم كيف يشار الى غير العاقل بالضمير HE كذلك شفت احيانا يشار للانسان بالضمير it

ارجو التوضيح مع الامثلة لاني هتجنن خلاص

about the direct and indirect changing tenses is not abot of facts ,but it is just under the rule of time ''when the speech was said''
it means to express the time of the speech not its meaningfulness

Both answers are correct

A. It is not always necessary to change the verb when you use reported speech. If you report. something and it is still true, you do not need to change the verb:
* direct: Tom said 'New York is more lively than London.'
reported: Tom said that New York is more lively than London.
(New York is still more lively. The situation hasn't changed.)
* direct: Ann said 'I want to go to New York next year.'
reported: Ann said that she wants to go to New York next year.
(Ann still wants to go to New York next year.)
Note that it is also correct to change the verb into the past:
* Tom said that New York was more lively than London.
* Ann said that she wanted to go to New York next year.
But you must use a past form when there is a difference between what was said and
what is really true

الف شكر لكل الردود لكن انا مش فاهم بالنسبة للحقائق مثل الاسم والحقائق العلمية مثل دوران الشمس والعادات المتكررة فكيف يكون الاثنين صح (استخدام الماضي او المضارع)

والاجابة الثانية هي اللي مش مقتنع بيها نهائي فكيف تكون الاجابتين صح يا مستر مصطفى

both are correct as i explained MR but for scientific facts we always use present simple and if you want more information you can read the "Reported Speech " lesson in English Grammar In Use or E_mail me

"my name is hady'
He said that his name is hady
or
He said that his name was hady
الاتنين صح
اما للضمائر
انا ممكن استخدم he or she مع الحيوانات بس لما اكون عارف نوعهم (ذكر ام أنثي)
ex:
Your dog is well trained. He is a good guard dog
لو معرفش النوع يبقي مينفعش استخدمهم ولازم استخدم it
اما it بتيجي مع الغير عاقل فقط

لو معرفش نوع الشخص ممكن استخدم it وغالبا هما بيستخدموها في المحادثه التليفونيه او لما حد يخبط علي الباب وانا معرفوش مين
زي كده:
Who is it?
it's me
= who is speaking?
it's me,
ده من قاموس انجليزي <<<<<a person or animal whose *** is unknown or disregarded <don't know who it is
it ممكن تستخدم كفاعل _ مفعول- حرف جر .

وخد بالك من المحادثه دي:
A: Hello
B: who is speaking?
A:It's Hady
It هنا تشير الي الفعل اللي في الجمله وهو الكلام
وليس الفاعل
'It' goes to the sound in front of the phone, to be accurate it goes to the sound speaking
,نفس الشئ لما حد يخبط ع الباب ...it بتشير الي الفعل اكثر من الفاعل

الضمير it يستخدم لصوت الشخص . و دي بتشوفها كتير في القصة بتاعت الانجليزي

كل الكلام دا كلام صح 100/100

it can be used in certain situations such as . on the phone or when some one is knocking on the door .al the time youa ababi with the pronoun it.

أيهما الحل الصحيح
1 - The english travellers were not only crossing deserts but also jungles
2 - The english travellers were not only crossing deserts, but they were also crossing jungles
مع العلم أن الحل الثانى موجود مثلة فى تمارين الكتاب و ليس موجود مثل الحل الأول
فأيهما صح و لماذا ؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟


ثانياً : توجد أيضاً هذه الجملة فى الكتاب المدرسى ص 53
Salma likes notonly biscuits but she also likes chocolate
كيف يضع notonlyبدون فعل مساعد أى أنة كان من المفترض أن يقول
Salma does not only like biscuits but she also likes chocolate
أليس كلامى صحيح ، أليست هذه الجملة بالعامية
