Hello every colleague
when we use mustn't to express prohibition it is the same as can't. is this right or there is a difference in meaning
for example we say
* You mustn't smoke here. It is against the law.:078111rg3:
We also say:
* You can't smoke here. It is against the law.
What do you think?

i think that mustnot is more popular than canot and it has the meanong of prohibtion as the sentence says it is against the law

thanks for your participation. in fact I thought the same until I've thought it over again.To my surprise,I've found out that elder can't be used in comparison.It is a positive adj that proceeds a noun. therefore, the correct choice is the older of the two.
It is serious and should be looked into and after.

However. I agree with you on what you've mentioned (The elder of the two )is correct but it is not mentioned in Practical Eng therefore I've deduced that it can't be accepted. Yet I think you agree with me that the correct answer is (the older of the two .

لاشك ان الامتحان فى مجمله سهل ومباشر ولكن احيانا يحتوى على اسئلة تشبه الالغاز وانا من خلال متابعتى لهذا المنتدى الرائع الذى اسال الله العلى القدير ان يجزى القائمين عليه خيرا ويجعلهم ممن يعنينون الخلق فى قضاء الحاجات وتفريج الكربات ويكفيهم شر البليات ويورثهم واهليهم ونحن معهم الدرجات ويسكنهم الجنات امين

accommodation بمعنى اقامة او نزل

خد بالك من كلمات خادعة لانها بوشين احدها معدود والتانى غير معدود
