I think the past simple should be used
any other suggestions ? why?

the past simple should be used as the action ended

.My father has been travelling six times for the last two months

has travelled -finishedvaction - in the last > present perfect

My father has been travelling six times in the last two months.
(find the mistake)

has travelled
وذلك لأنه ذكر بعدها عدد المرات(six times)
أما لو كانت الجملة بدون ذكر عدد المرات ستكون هكذا
My father has been travelling in the last two month

مستحيل زمن الجملة يأتى ماضى مع in the last two months


فيه فرق بينها وبين last two months



سأعطى مثالين آخريين لمزيد من الايضاح


I have been writing letters since morning
لم يذكر العدد

I have written 3 letters since morning
ذكر عدد الخطابات

The answer is " I have written..... " as it is a repeated action

الجملة لو فيها last month فقط يبقى تأخد past simple


أما لو وجد هذا التعبير
in the last month يقصد هنا مفهوم الـ 30 يوم اللى فى الشهر دا
وليس نقطة زمنية محددة وأكتملت كما فى last month
