تستخدم لتدل عادة كانت تحدث في الماضي و توقفت الان
ex: Abdulllah used to stay up late . but now he sleeps early
للنفي نستخدم usedn't او didn't use to
ex Abdullah usedn't play in the street
or, Abdullah didn't use to play in the street


يمكن استخدام would مكان used لتدل على تكرار عادة في الماضي
Ex: when she was young ,Menna used to (would) make her own dresses at night

ولكن لا تستخدم would مكان used اذا لم تعبر عن عادة متكررة في الماضي
they used to have a ford .
We used to live in Minya
