لأن parchment كانت مكتوبة بشفرة سرية لم يستطع فهمها مع أنه يعلم الرونز و اللاتينية

بص يا باشا المخوطة كانت عاملة زى الجنية متشوفش ضهره الا لما تبص فى حته فيها شمس او ضوءوكذلك اكتشفها اكسل لما راح للشباك شاف خلف المخطوطة. اجو تكون فهمت وكلا مالزملاء كله صحيح

yes he did because the book he found was an old Icelandic book and runes were the letters of old Icelandic alphabet
