1- في المثال الأول ..... لا يصح على الإطلاق أن يضع حرف الجر in مرتين للإشارة إلى نفس الإسم فاصل الجملة
The place which we live in , the wind blows in a southern direction.
و هنا يجوز يجوز حذف which و يجوز أيضا تقديم حرف الجر in في أول الجملة
و لكن لا تحتمل الجملة in مرتين .

2- في المثال الثاني فالجملة بديهية و لا تحتمل حرف الجر of بعد outside و يمكنك الرجوع إلى قواميسك أو كتب القواعد عندك
و هذا مثال أسوقه لك من Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary - 3rd edition
- She sat for two hours on the floor outside his room .

3- أما في المثال الثالث فالإشكالية عندك في This pair of scissors و هل الفعل الذي يتبع a pair of أو the pair of مفرد أم جمع ؟؟؟
هذا موضوع مختلف فيه ...... فقد تعامل معاملة المفرد أو الجمع و كلاهما صحيح و سأسوق لك الدليل :
The noun 'pair' can be followed by a singular or plural verb. The singular is always used when pair refers to a set considered as a single entity: "This pair of shoes is on sale." A plural verb is used when the members are considered as individuals: "The pair are working more harmoniously now."

لكن الكاتب في الجملة عامل This pair of scissors معاملة الجمع و الدليل على ذلك من الجملة ذاتها حين أشار إليها في نهاية الجملة بالضمير them .

و الخطأ الذي قمت بتصويبه هو sharp التي هي adjective و الإجابة الصحيحة هو استعمال الفعل و ليس الصفة و لذا فـ sharpen
هي الفعل من كلمة sharp .

أما جمل الترجمة فهي صحيحة إن شاء الله و لا يوجد بها أخطاء ...... فالترجمة هي المجال الذي أعشقه
