جواد عوض 12-11-2011, 08:53 PM Zewail's City of Science and Technology
Zewail's City of Science and Technology is an initiative
for scientific research as countries do not move forward except with scientific research. It is Egypt’s National Project for scientific Renaissance. This is not a university; this is an integrated city of sciences and research. Dr. Zewail said that he was trying to start this project since 1999. Then he failed due to the political problems at that time. He also gave another try on 2007 . After the Egyptian Revolution on 25 January, He had the hope to try to start the project again.
Zewail announced that the project is not just a university, but it is a full city made for serving science and technology. It consists of a university that accepts students and teaches them the latest technologies. It also includes what he called “uniqueness centers” which focuses on improving what is the best things in Egypt such as the solar energy and the river Nile. It also includes what is called “Technology Parks” where it supports projects made in these Technology Parks. He said that “Zewail City” is non-profit organization, thus any companies or projects made inside the Technology Park is not for making money but to improve technology in Egypt.

Mubarak's trial
For the first time ever an Arab country had, of its own volition - not after a foreign invasion as in Iraq - put its former ruler on trial.
لأول مرة من أي وقت مضى لبلد عربي، من تلقاء نفسها -- وليس بعد غزو اجنبى كم حدثا في العراق -- وضعت حاكمها السابق للمحاكمة.
"I deny all these accusations completely."
