حيث أن during يليها أسماء فقط ، أما While فتليها جمل تامة أو gerund فمثلا نقول

I think it is a correct sentece , the mistake is in the punctuation .

i think it is right as (playing) is cassified as g or n

Our colleague does not mean punctuation at all . The mistake is that the word during shouldn't be followed by gerund. Therefore, the correction is to replace the word by while.

WHILE

While is followed by a subect and a verb.
