when oliver said the notebooks were well made, why did fagin and the others laugh?

As he was talking so kindly and that's doesn't matter them
The most important thing is that they had the notebooks which they stole to sell them once more and have money
Also, from their point of view he's naive and silly to think of the books themselves not to what they could gain on selling them

Because his answer declared that he was innocent
عندى فكرة جميلة عندى مجموعتين أعطيهم درس مثل معظم المدرسين قمت بإحضار محفظ قرآن متخصص و قبل أن يدخل الطالب إلىّ ليأخذ حصة اللغة الانجليزية يمر على الشيخ المحفظ ليعطيه حصة فى القرآن والحديث والآداب العامة وكيفية الوضوء والصلاة لمدة ساعة او اقل ونفذت الفكرة منذ بداية هذا التيرم والحمد لله يوجد اليوم بعض الاولاد والبنات حفظوا
