It only rains every 20-50 years in the Western Desert. However, two million years ago very heavy rain fell there and a huge quantity of water collected under the desert sand. Today, we need this water and the person we have to thank for finding it is one of Egypt's most famous men, Dr Farouk El-Baz.
كانت الامطار تسقط كل 20-50 عاما في الصحراء الغربية. ولكن منذ اثنين مليون سنة سقطت امطار غزيرة جدا وهناك كمية ضخمة من المياه التي تجمعت تحت الرمال الصحراوية. اليوم ، نحن بحاجة إلى هذه المياه والشخص الذى لابد ان نشكره لانه وجد هذه المياه أكثر الرجال الشهيرة هوالدكتور فاروق الباز.
Remote sensing الاستشعار عن بعد
Dr Farouk El-Baz, who is a space scientist and a geologist, is the Director of Remote Sensing at Boston University in the USA. He is the world's greatest expert in remote sensing: the use of satellites to find water under deserts. Underground water was found in the Western Desert and in Sinai thanks to photographs which he took from satellites.
الدكتور فاروق الباز ، الذي هو احد علماء الفضاء وجيولوجي ، هو المدير للاستشعار عن بعد في جامعة بوسطن في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية. وهو أعظم خبراء العالم في مجال الاستشعار عن بعد استخدام الأقمار الصناعية لايجاد المياه تحت الصحراء. تم العثور على المياه الجوفية في الصحراء الغربية وسيناء ذلك بفضل الصور الفوتوغرافية التي أخذت من الأقمار الصناعية.

From 1967 to 1973, Dr El-Baz, worked on the American Apollo space project, which landed men on the moon. He gave advice on where the astronauts should land, and told them how to collect rocks and soil on the moon. Dr El-Baz was born in Zagazig in 1938 and was educated at Ain Shams University.

In January 2007, Egypt's internationally famous squash player, Ramy Ashour, won an important championship in Canada. But what do we know about this young man? Ramy was born in Cairo in September, 1987. At the age of 16, he became the youngest player to win the Men's World Junior Squash Championship. In 2006, he won the championship again. In the Hong Kong 2006 Championship, he was second. He lost to another Egyptian player, Amr Shabana. Ramy's older brother, Hisham Ashour, is also an expert squash player.

Dr Zahi Hawass is one of the most famous archaeologists in the world. He often speaks on radio and television. Laila has seen him talking about the pyramids on television. He sometimes writes in a magazine called “Egypt Today”. He wants to bring ancient things back to Egypt from museums outside Egypt. Egyptian people don't see these things if they are in other countries. Dr Hawass would like the Rosetta Stone to be in Egypt.
الدكتور زاهي حواس هو واحد من أشهر علماء الآثار في العالم. انه كثيرا ما يتحدث في الإذاعة والتلفزيون. ليلى شهد له الحديث عن الاهرامات على شاشات التلفزيون. انه أحيانا يكتب في مجلة تحمل اسم "مصر اليوم". انه يريد اعادة الامور القديمة في العودة الى مصر من المتاحف خارج مصر. الشعب المصري لا نرى هذه الأمور إذا كانوا في بلدان أخرى. الدكتور حواس أن حجر رشيد إلى أن يكون في مصر.

Nabawiya Musa is famous because she was the first Egyptian woman to go to high school. When she became older she helped other women to succeed in education and work. In 1908, she wrote a book about girls’ education. Later she became the headmistress of Al-Mohammadia school for girls’

الاستاذ/أمجد مرحبا بك في المنتدي ومجهود مشكور ولكن لي ملاحظات.ففي الجزء الخاص بالمراجعة لم اجد مراجعة ولكن وجدت نصائح وشكل الامتحان مع ان الجميع يعرفه ولا اعرف ما دخل موضوع التعبير في شكل الامتحان ثم وضعت عنوان عن كتابة الخطاب ثم لا شيء.اما في سؤال المواقف من جهة نظري كان يمكن استبدال الاسئلة بمجموعة من المواقف وحلها مع وضع بعض الاسئلة لحلها.اما باقي الاسئلة فهي مجرد اسئلة كنا نتمني ان نري بها ابداعك الخاص في العرض او توصيل المادة العلمية ولكنني للاسف وبدون زعل لم اجد ما يشدني..وانا اتمني قبل رفع المادة علي المنتدي ان يسال كل منا نفسه هل ما سوف يتم رفعه يوجد به اضافة ام انه مجرد تضييع للوقت.عزيزي الاستاذ/امجد انا لا اريدك ان تزعل فهذا رايي ويمكنك ان تبدي ملاحظاتك علي اي شيء يخصني فانا والله العظيم لا ازعل بل اعتبر ذلك حافزاًٍ لمزيد من التفوق.والسلام عليكم

فى البداية أشكر الأستاذ diemido على ملاحظاته ولايظن اطلاقا ان ما كتبه يغضب كل ذى عقل
بل اننى سعيد بوجهة نظره لكن أود أن أقول أن مارفعته لم يكن ابداعا شخصيا وأظننى ذكرت ذلك مسبقا
