CAIRO: Securing churches during the Christmas season and security for the forthcoming referendum on the draft constitution have become a top priority for the Ministry of Interior, according to a meeting held Sunday.
It is very important to target and eliminate criminal hotspots as well as arrest people who terrorize citizens, said Assistant to the Minister of Interior Sayed Shafiq during the meeting.
Shafiq said he will make it imperative that police treat all citizens with respect during the referendum, scheduled to be held on Jan. 14 and 15.
