A- Language functions ( 16 Maries )
1- Read and circle: f 8 marks - (wo marks each ]
Pupils arc given Four sentences: Two questions with two answers each and Two-responses with two questions each. They are asked to circle the correct answer/question.
2- Read and complete: [ 8 marks - two marks each ]
Pupils are given a lon£ dialogue between two people. They are asked to complete the missing parts ( Two sentences and Two questions ).
B-Reading [ 18 Marks J
3- Circle the odd word and replace it with a correct one:
( 8 marks - two marks each J
Pupils are giver; Four varied sets of words, each of Four words. They are asked to circle the odd word and replace it with another word that goes with the rest. One mark for the circling and one mark for the correct replacing. •
4- Fill in the gaps: [ 4 marks - one mark each ]
Pupils are given a short text with Four gaps. The first sentence should be complete, They arc asked to fill in the gaps using the suitable words.
5- Read the passage and answer the questions: f 6 marks]
Pupils arc given a short unseen text. All words and structures should be from the Set Books. They are asked to read it first and then answer the questions ( Two open-ended questions and Two multiple-choice questions ).
(two marks for each open-ended questions and one mark for each multiple choice)
C- Writing [16 Marks]
6- Look and write: [ 8 marks - two marks each ] Pupils are given One picture. They are asked to write a paragraph of Four sentences. Pupils are given Four guiding words.
6-Write a letter or an e-mail of Five sentences:! 5 marks - one mark each ]
Pupils are asked to write a letter or an e-mail of five complete sentences. The address and the names are provided.
I- Punctuate the following: [ 3 marks - one mark each ]
Pupils are given a sentence with Three missing punctuation marks. They are asked to punctuate them correctly. The missing punctuation marks should vary.
