Street children or street urchins are homeless children who live on the street – in particular, those that are not taken care of by parents or other adults. Street children live in abandoned buildings, containers, automobiles, parks, or on the street itself.

I think it could be like this
"Street children"is a big problem
or we can use (alarming) instead of big

شكرا جزيلا لحضرتك مستر عصام
كلنا نعلم ان الصفات المنتهيه بy تصبح ier ,iest اذا كان الحرف الذى يسبق الyساكن
وبالنسبه ل ugly ايضا ذكر فى نسخه longman القديمه uglier/ugliest
ذكر فى English Grammar in use نفس الكلام ولكن ذكر الاتى
We prefer er with some two-syllable adjectives, especially adjectives ending in y
وكذلك A Comprehesive English Grammar
شكرا جزيلا لحضرتك

Inequality : less
We can also talk about inequality by focusing on the ' lower ' end of the scale , using less ( than) or least.
The baby 's less ugly than you.
Inequality : more
To say that people, things etc are unequal in a particular way,
When we compare two descriptions ( saying that one is more suitable or accurate than another ) we use more ; comparative with – er are not possible.
He 's more lazy than stupid.
Note :
That this structure is used only to express abstract ideas.
He explained it all carefully but I was still none the wiser.
When a group only has two members we sometimes use the comparative instead of superlative
I 'll give you the bigger / biggest steak: I'm not very hungry.
( the ) is not used with superlative in predicative position or with superlative position or with superlative adverbs when we compare the same person, or the thing in different situations.
Compare
He 's nicestwhen he 's had a few drinks.
She works hardest when she 's doing something.
How do you like your coffee? "The stronger the better'
Note that in this structure, the word the is not really definite – it was originally a form of the demonstrative pronoun,
' by that much'.

اولا بالنسبة للجملتسن
nothing is more ugly than street without trees
الجملة صحيحة جدا لان اغلب الصفات التى تتكون من من مقطعين يتم التعامل معها بطريقتين هي
1- er \ est
2- more \ most
و هذا مذكور في كتب القواعد بشكل تفصيل

2- street children is a big problem
in my opinion is should be replaced with are as the subject is '' children '' and the verb thus must match it , so ''is'' is completely wrong
it can be acceptable if we say '' street children problem is a big one

اما بالنسبة لى
فانا اريد the address of the forum you have just mentioned
and if u know more forums of english , please tell me about them , as i have been searching for these forums for a long time
thanks mr essam

Always
er/est: Most of one-syllable, e.g. small

Usually
er/est: Two syllables ending in y, e.g. lucky

Either
er/est Some of one syllable, e.g. clear, true

or
more/most: Some of two syllables, e.g. narrow, common

Always
more/most: One syllable ending in ed, e.g. pleased

Most of two syllables, e.g.
careful, boring

Three or more syllables, e.g. expensive, magnificent

Street children ....جملة صحيحة دون نقاش
كاننى اقول
six months is a long period
او قصة طه حسين
stream of days
واحيانا يتغاضى البعض عن وضع علامتى تنصيص فلا يهم
والجملة صح الصح
