هل هناك داعى لوضع I wish فى الاختيارى رقم 12 و التصحيح رقم 6 هل لقلة الافكار و القواعد بالمنهج

What I mean is that students can guess the meaning when they are reading a paragraph in a reading comprehension passage, for example. Guessing the meaning of a word in a short mini-dialogue is not that easy for most students


Take a look at this example:

It had been raining hard through the night so the ground was saturated.
What does 'saturated' mean?

Some students may already know, but if they do not, they should be able to have a good guess from the rest of the sentence.

It had been raining which means the ground must be wet. It was raining 'hard' so this means the ground is probably very wet.

saturated = completely wet


We'd better ask students to guess the meaning from context when they translate from English into Arabic (the last item in the exam), what do you think?
