The difference is in register. 'lately' is the most commonly used. 'recently' is much used, and only slightly more formal. 'of late' is hardly ever used. To me it seems very formal and old-fashioned. In an everyday conversation, the speaker who uses 'of late' might be considered pretentious by his conversation partners.

Activities and periodic action (particularly in one of the perfect tenses, including perfect progressives) go better with "lately". Punctual events go better with "recently". In fact, in a sort of impressionistic way, "lately" is imperfective and "recently" is perfective. Hence, "lately" usually means "within the most recent period".

" I'd like to have an ice cream the question is " why do we use an before ice cream although it is an uncountable noun?. |
Some nouns can be either countable or uncountable.

عادة نحذف الكلمات المكررة وده يعرف في اللغة بــــــــــellipsis فنقول His young but strong بدل من He is young but he is strong |
I think:
He is young, but he is strong. Or: However strong he is, he is young. Or: Strong as he is, he is young. Or: However young he is, he is strong. Or: Young as he is, he is strong. لأن but يأتي بعدها جملة كاملة |

They decided to get married last week although they...............each other for only five months have known-had known-know-would know بعض الأخوه قال ان الاجابه فى الجمله دى have known و قال أن لو الرابط because بدلا من although تبقى الاجابه had known بصراحه أنا مقتنع ان الاجابه هى had known و فى رأييى المتواضع ان قرار الزواج الذى تم أخذه الاسبوع الماضى كان بعد ما عرفوا بعض لمدة خمس شهور : يعنى هما عرفوا بعضهم الأول و بعدين قرروا يتجوزوا و مع احترامى الكامل مش قرروا يتجوزوا لأنهم عرفوا بعض لخمس شهور ؟؟؟؟؟!!!!!! مش كل اللى هيعرفوا بعض خمس شهور هيتجوزوا............آسف على الاطاله...........و أرجوا الرد السريع المقنع.....شكرا |
الاجابة هى have known بمعنى انهم قرروا الزواج بالرغم من انهم قد عرفوا بعضهم منذ مدة 6 شهور فقط
