6) Read the following passage, then answer the questions: Some editors of newspapers and magazines often go to extremes to provide their readers with unimportant facts and statistics. Once, a journalist was instructed to write an article on a new president’s palace. When the article arrived, the editor read the first sentence and refused to publish it. The article began: "Hundreds of steps lead to the high wall which surrounds the president's palace." The editor at once sent a telegram telling the journalist to find out the exact number of steps and the height of the wall. The journalist set out to obtain these important facts. But he took a long time to send them and the editor got impatient. In another telegram he said if he didn't reply soon, he would be fired. Egypt is really qualified to be the most prosperous country on earth . Allah has gifted it many natural resources which we can make good use of to become the richest country in the world. We need to enhance and promote our national products to have a great position in the global economy. We should encourage people to double production and face the economic crisis by working hard and thinking wisely. We have to rationalize consumption to overcome the obstacles that hinder our progress. we are in bad need of seeking imaginative ideas and creative plans to exploit all our potentials . We should support local and small projects to take part in the international competition Egypt can encourage the Arab and foreign investors to set up projects in Egypt. It is good idea to provide young people with loans and data required to establish their own business instead of waiting for the governmental jobs. It’s vital to control markets and pass laws to punish corrupt and greedy people. We should be more united and cooperative to reach our goals so quickly and easily. Islam calls for peace , love , affection ,fraternity, unity, hard work ,tolerance and cooperation. We should cooperate only on the good actions , not evil deeds. In short, it is the duty of youth to make remarkable progress and help Egypt to restore its position . youth can make miracles and change the course of history if they work honestly and wisely for the sake of their beloved country abdallahshirbini.boardeducation.ne |
