اولا السؤال التانى حله were لان بعد would rather لو فى فاعل بنحط الجمله فى الماضى البسيط
مثلا i would rather you came وليس come
لكن مع verb to be الافضل استخدام were بدل من was القاعده دى يطلق عليها ال subjunctive mood
زى مثلا ما بنقول if he were a doctor, he would treat you
استخدمنا were مع he ,وليس was _
wasبتستخدم اكتر فى اللغه العاميه وفى ناس بتعتبرها صح بس الاصح were نفس الوضع ينطبق على الجمله دى الاصح were



السؤال الاول بعد a neighbour of او a friend of بنحط ضمير ملكيه وليس ضمير مفعول
مثلا

a friend of mine
a neighbour of theirs
a neighbour of yours

because he was a good guide and he knew sneffles well

اه الاجابه صح
