Vice-President Omar Suleiman, who announced the formation of the new committees, said he had briefed Mr Mubarak on recent talks with the opposition, and the president had welcomed the process of "dialogue" and "national reconciliation". |
The determination of people queuing to get into Tahrir Square in the late afternoon sun has not been dented by officials' announcements of a series of concessions. The real test of the revolution's success or failure is whether it changes Egypt permanently - that does not mean changing the face at the top to preserve the system, it means democracy

Nasrallah has made a speech lauding the Egyptian protesters opposed to Mubarak. Given that his organisation is no friend of Mubarak, or indeed Israel, the state which the Egyptian leader counts among his allies, Nasrallah's comments are no real surprise. Reuters reports:
"Your movement will entirely change the face of our region for the interest of its own people," Nasrallah said in a televised address to a conference in Beirut, held to support the popular uprising in Egypt. "You are going through the battle of Arab dignity, restoring the dignity of Arab people," he said. Mubarak's government is suspicious of Hezbollah's links to Iran and backs the Shi'ite group's political rivals in Lebanon. Last year an Egyptian court sentenced Hezbollah member Sami Chehab to 15 years in prison on charges of planning attacks in the country. Hezbollah said Chehab escaped from jail last week in the chaos of the Egyptian uprising. Nasrallah told the Egyptian protesters that his group did not seek to intervene in their "internal business" or influence their decisions. But he praised their achievements, saying they were as significant as the 2006 war in which Hezbollah fought Israel to a standstill, and said he wished he could be with them in Cairo's Tahrir Square - epicentre of the protests. "What you have done is no less significant than the historic steadfastness the Islamic Resistance achieved in 2006 and the resistance in Gaza in 2008," he said, referring to the Israeli military assault on Hamas-ruled Gaza ( from The British Guradian 7-2-2011 |
The huge demonstration in Cairo's Tahrir Square on Tuesday is the sharpest reminder yet for President Hosni Mubarak's regime that the protest movement is not being worn down. The sheer numbers involved increase the pressure on the president to leave his seat and resign |

To The youth of Egypt Your white revolution till now is wonderful. We have never dreamt of it, but put in your consideration anything exceeds turned upside down .Please do not waste your efforts . People will not forgive you if your revolution fail .They will be the victims of your own ambitions .The great majority of Egyptians are low-income bread winners .They live from hand to mouth .They have nothing to spare .they hailed your revolution hoping to fulfill and satisfy their needs especially the simplest needs. They do not dream to own a villa or Chalet in Marina or on the North Coast ,but their wildest dream is to own a humble flat for their family to live considerable and humane life .Do not let your limitless dream blind you and ignore the reality .Wait and slow down please some of the protesters are revenging and they had problems with the authorities .They make the best use of your revolution and want to blackmail the people in the power to achieve their dreams .Think of these things and do not swim against the wave .I do not want to discourage your will or reproach you .No but you exceeded the red lines and do not give a chance to time to play its role .You want everything to be done immediately , You do not have a magical stick or magical lantern .The consequences may be serious if we fail .There will be no losers or winners .The bully people will float on the surface and the weak may lose their lives .What we had achieved over twenty years may be destroyed .Please reconsider your demands .and let him leave normally and he may repay the debts of Egypt and his money may be remain in Egypt .Why not? Judge the reason and listen to the wise people in Egypt. By the way I hate the figures of the previous government .I hope to Habib El-Adely and Ahmed Ezz to be hanged in a public square ,Though they did not harm me directly or anyone of my family ,but they stole our dreams of appointing our sons in the police and they were bribed .The Justice Of The Heaven will punish them .But for your revolution those tyrants would persist in their tyranny .This is your success .Wait and form a party to speak for you .Unite your word Allah will help the group .Take a while to form a union to be candidated in the next presidency election all people will vote for you ,provided that you save them now from the unknown fate . We love you and as you broke into the revolution, put it out temporarily to take our breath .We fed up with the length of demonstrations we want to take a rest like all civilized nations .You are going to regret if you do not listen to the wise and the elderly .Do not nominate yourself as the judges and executioner .Most of you tried the injustice and unfairness. Do not tyrannize the poor people. Think of them they will not forgive you if you do not succeed. This is a warn and a petition to my sons and brothers .Return home for a while .This led to many specialized movements to protest against the injustice .The revolution knocked off its planned purpose and it became hustle and bustle .It turned into a chaos and fuss. Everyone wants to share the pie on your expenses and the poor will insult you and beg Allah to revenge you as you cut off their livings .They were dreaming of a modest life ,suddenly they will not find even the bread to eat. Hence they wished the previous regime had remained like the people of Iraq felt. Do not say the situation is different .It is the same ,but their despotic was foreign and Imperialistic ,you will lead us to the same fate. I am not against your revolution , I am for you and I am pro-democracy and free elections .I am anti-capitalism and monopoly .I am with you by heart ,but my request is to wait a week or two to see the result of your strife and struggle I ask Allah to judge your mind and dismiss the Satan from inside yourselves, I ask You Muslims and Christians to pray to Allah to reveal this stumble and live in a new era of freedom and prosperity.
