Barack obama, the 44th President of the United States of America, is the first African American to hold the office. He represented the Democratic Party after his victory over Hillary Clinton to be his party's only nominee. In the 2008 general elections, he defeated the Republican candidate John McCain and was finally announced president on January 20th, 2009
يعتبر باراك اوباما، الرئيس رقم 44 للولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، أول أمريكى من أصل أفريقى يشغل هذا المنصب. و قد مثّل باراك الحزب الديموقراطى بعد فوزه على هيلارى كلنتون ليصبح مرشح حزبه الأوحد. و فى الانتخابات العامة عام 2008 سحق باراك المرشح الجمهورى جون ماكين ، واُعلن رئيساً فى يوم 20 يناير 2009 .

The whole world has suffered from the financial crisis that hit every country by the end of 2008. Large companies went bankrupt and stock markets crashed as well as millions of employee were made redundant.
يعانى العالم أجمع من الأزمة المالية التى أصابت كل قطربنهاية عام 2008. فقد أشهرت شركات كبرى إفلاسها و أنهارت أسواق البورصة كما تم الإستغناء عن الملايين من الموظفين.

The 2008 Summer Olympic Games was a major international multi-sport event that took place in Beijing, China. A total of 11,028 athletes competed in 302 events in 28 sports. The Games saw 43 new world records and 132 new Olympic records set.
كانت دورة الألعاب الأوليمبية الصيفية لعام 2008 و التى أقيمت فى بكين بالصين حدثاً رياضىاً كبيراً تنافس فيه 11,028 بطل رياضى و ذلك فى 302 منافسة رياضية فى 28 رياضة مختلفة. و شهدت الدورة تحطيم 43 رقماً قياسياً عالمياً و 132 رقماً قياسياً أوليمبياً.

فى السابع عشر من مايو عام 2007 أصبح عمر السمرة أول مصرى يتسلق جبل إفرست و كان عمره أنذاك 29 سنة.

Researchers conclude that increasing greenhouse gas concentrations resulting from human activity such as fossil fuel burning and deforestation are responsible for most of the observed temperature increase since the middle of the twentieth century.
الإحتباس الحرارى يعنى زيادة متوسط درجة الحرارة الأرض. وقد إستنتج الباحثون أن التركيزات المتزايده "لغازات الصوبات" و الناتجة عن النشاط البشرى مثل حرق وقود الحفريات و التصّحُر هى المسئولة عن معظم الزيادة الملحوظة فى درجة الحرارة منذ منتصف القرن العشرين.

On 19 August 2008, a huge fire seriously damaged most of the 19th-century palace that houses the Shura Council in Cairo. The fire destroyed the parliamentary archive room and several meeting chambers.
فى التاسع عشر من مايو عام 2008 دمّر حريقٌ هائلٌ قصر القرن التاسع عشر الذى إتُخذ مقراً لمجلس الشورى المصرى بالقاهرة. دمّر الحريق غرفة أرشيف البرلمان و عدة غرف للإجتماعات.
