of course as the verb -arrive-brings two prepositions , one of them is -at- |

I found this extract from The Encyclopedia of Superstitions by Richard Webster on line: People turning twenty-one are often given cardboard keys to celebrate this milestone of maturity and independence. I think it's better to be the door key and the key of the dooris also acceptable

and تلغي التكرار وبالتالي سوف يتم حذف الضمير I وخاصه انه هو نفس الضمير الموجود في الجمله الاولي

اعتقد ان تحويل and إلي إلي But هو الانسب لأنه ليس هناك إضافة للجملة ولكن هناك تناقض في المعني فالطبيعي ان يصل الانسان ويجد المفتاح ولكن العكس هو ما حدث

وبالتالي تكون I arrived home late but I didn't find the key
وبالمناسبة كلمة Home لا يأتي معها حرف جر فنقول Arrive home - get home - go home وجميعها بدون حرف جر وكذلك تحويل الزمن من الماضي البسيط للماضي التام ليس حلأ لأنه ليس هناك تتابع في الحدث ففي لحظة الوصول هي نفسها لحظة اكتشاف عدم وجود مفتاح |
