N or M? is a work of detective fiction by Agatha Christie first published in the US by Dodd, Mead and Company in 1941[1][2] and in the UK by the Collins Crime Club in November of the same year[3]. The US edition retailed $2.00[2] and the UK edition at seven shillings and sixpence (7/6)[3].
The title is taken from a catechism in the Book of Common Prayer which asks, "What is your Christian name? Answer N. or M." [4] The novel is the first to feature the mature versions of her detectives Tommy and Tuppence, whose previous appearances had been in the adventure The Secret Adversary (1922) and the short story collection Partners in Crime (1929). |

M or N اسم قصة بوليسية لأجثا كريستى This is the plot followed by its translation After the outbreak of the Second World War and many years after they worked for British intelligence, Tommy and Tuppence Beresford feel useless. Tommy is sent again on a secret mission to find a nazi spy and stop him before he infiltrates the English government. Tuppence decides to join Tommy on his mission whether she is wanted or not The duo begin a search for a German agent who may have infiltrated British command. Another British agent that was following these Germans left a cryptic message on his deathbed: "N or M. Song Susie". Grant knew that "Song Susie" stood for Sans Souci, a hotel in Leahampton, and N and M were two German spies, one male and one female. Tommy is to go to Sans Souci to investigate whether N, M or both are at the hotel and to figure out their identities بعد إندلاع الحرب العالمية الثانية وبعد مرور عدة سنوات من عملهم لحساب المخابرات البريطانية، شعر تومى وتوبنس برسفورد بعدم الفائدة يتم إرسال تومى مرة أخرى فى مهمة سرية للبحث عن الجاسوس النازى ومنعه قبل أن يتسرب للحكومة الانجليزية - تقرر توبنس اللحاق بتومى والانضمام اليه فى مهمته سواء رغب فى وجودها أم لا وبدأ الثنائى البحث عن العميل الألمانى الذى قد يكون قد تسلل للقيادة البريطانية ووجد أن عميل آخر بريطانى - كان يتتبع هؤلاء العملاء الألمان - قد ترك رسالة خفية (مستخدما الرموز) وهو على فراش الموت هذا هو نصها نون أم ميم "أغنية سوزى" كان جرانت يعرف ماترمز اليه "أغنية سوزى" فهى ترمز إلى Sans Souci هذا هو اسم فندق ونون وميم رموز لأسماء اثنين جواسيس ألمان - واحد ذكر وآخر أنثى لذا كانت مهمة تومى الذهاب إلى هذا الفندق للتحرى عن ماإذا كان نون أو ميم أو كلاهما موجود بالفندق ومعرفة هويتهم |

English ones. The story Tommy and Tuppence Beresford are sitting the Second World War out... and not by choice. Having previously accomplished various acts of bravery during the previous war, they now must watch and wait as their condescending and absent offspring contribute to the war effort without them, and it seems like nobody remembers how useful they could be... until all of a sudden, Tommy is offered a job. Everyone must be told he is to be a filing clerk in Scotland, however, he is actually being sent to Sans Souci boarding house in Leahampton to replace the last spy... and find N or M, one of the top “Fifth Column” Nazi spies. Tuppence isn’t invited, but using her wits manages to tag along anyway, and the two find themselves settling into the San Souci boarding house as strangers to each other and a collection of odd and suspicious characters fast filling up the suspect lists. Who is N or M? Tommy and Tuppence soon find themselves embroiled in a complex and dangerous plot. Can they catch N or M in time to stop a German attack, and to save their own lives? |
