لان rather صفة مقارنه اصلها rathe ومعناها early استخدمها ميلتون The rathe primrose that forsaken dies. وكذلك استخدمها تينيسون Men of rathe and riper years.
يجب ملاحظة الاتى
She is the older and the more beautiful of the two sisters.
She is the oldest and the most beautiful of the three sisters.
اذا ذكرنا المقارنه بين اثنين يكون كالمثال الاول comparative
اذا ذكرنا المقارنه بين ثلاثه او اكثر يكون كالمثال الثانى :040vk0:superlative

It isn't new . We use comparative adj as a superlative between 2 persons only
