Characters of the story (شخصيات القصة ) Professor Lidenbrock Professor Lidenbrock was a famous scientist and geologist.He gave lectures at the university of Hamburg. He knew about the earth more than any other scientist. scientists came from all over the world to learn from him Axel Axel was the Professor's nephew.When his parents died he went to live with his uncle. Martha Martha was the professor's cook. Hans He was a big man and didn't say much. Axel and his uncle liked him. Dr Fridrikson Arne Saknussemm He was the owner of the old book and the writer the parchment. Snorri Sturlasson He was an Icelandic scientist. He was the writer of the old book in the twelfth century.Chapter one * Why did Axel live with his uncle? لماذا جاء اكسيل ليعيش مع عمة ؟ ؟ He lived with his uncle when his parents died.. لان و الداة قد ماتوا و هو كان مساعد البروفيسور . * Why Martha was worried ? لماذا كانت مارثا قلقة ؟ She was worried because the Professor went home early and his dinner wasn't ready yet. لان البروفيسور جاء مبكرا و عشائة لم يكن جاهز بعد . · What was the old book which the professor brought? · How old was it? ماذا كان الكتاب القديم الذى احضرة البروفيسور ؟ It was a translation of a famous Icelandic book " Snori. It was more than six hundred years كان ترجمة لكتاب ايسلندى قديم * What fell out of the book? ماذا سقط من الكتاب القديم ؟ A piece of parchment fell out of the book. مخطوطة ( قصاصة من الجلد ) . * What were runes? ما هى الرونية ؟. Runes were the letters of the Old Icelandic alphabet. هى الحروف الهجائية الايسلندية القديمة . * Why couldn't the professor understand the parchment ? لماذ لم يستطع البروفيسور ان يفهم الكتابة الموجودة فى الوثيقة ؟ Because the letters were mixed up and it was written in a secret code . لان الحروف كانت مختلطة و كانت مكتوبة بشفرة سرية . * Who was Arne Saknussemm? من هو ارن ساكنوسيم ؟ He was a famous scientist of Iceland in the 16th century. He was the owner of the book and the writer of the parchment. هو عالم ايسلندى مشهور من القرن السادس عشر و هو مالك الكتاب وكاتب الوثيقة |
