Announcement of a training program for English language teachers

Dear English teachers,

It is with great pleasure that the Professional Academy for Teachers (PAT), in collaboration with AMIDEAST, announces on the academy Web site the launch of the new Professional Certificate in English Language Teaching (PCELT).

The PCELT course will provide high-quality training for approximately 20 English teachers (primary – preparatory – secondary) with full tuition covered. (Note that housing and transportation are not covered.)

The intensive, 120-hour pilot course will take place in Cairo over 5 weeks, from mid April to mid May, at AMIDEAST premises in Dokki, Giza. All interested teachers must meet eligibility requirements in order to apply.

Eligibility Requirements:
· English language teachers at the secondary, preparatory, or primary stage
· Residents of Cairo, Giza, or Qalubiya only
· Teachers who have not participated in training programs outside of Egypt
· Ability to commit full-time to the intensive 120-hour, 5-week course
· English language proficiency at an upper intermediate level
· (Applicants will be required to take the TOEFL at AMIDEAST or submit recent official TOEFL scores, with a minimum score of 500.)

Selection will be done by the PAT team, in collaboration with AMIDEAST.
