second answer is right because the sentence is centered upon the repeated thing(the film)

حرف الجر المصاحب لـ recommend هو to
I saw the film (which) he recommended to me.
وعموما اللغة تذوق مش مجرد تطبيق قاعدة ، مش مسألة حل خطأ وحل صواب ، وإنما إيه الأفضل!!!
