I wish / If only I had won first prize last week. ·I didn't know that Germeen was ill. (I wish) I wish I had known that Germeen was ill. ·The weather was cold while we were away. I wish it (was - were - had been - would be) warmer. ·I feel sick. I ate so much cake yesterday. (If only) I feel sick. If only I hadn't eaten so much cake yesterday. ·I didn't apply for that job.
