Fancy holding my pen to write about the merits of peace and the
drawbacks of wars ! Wow ! I am sure that everyone will tackle this topic from a different angle, but I will focus on the main points. To begin with, I'd like to say that wars are destructive. Because of wars, women lose their husbands and become widows; children become orphans and the youth fall martyrs.During wars, poverty prevails; crimes increase; epidemics find a fertile soil and misery seems to be written on the face of every man and woman. Therefore, all countries should put an end to wars and live in peace. When peace prevails, people lead a quiet life full of happiness and the people in charge carry out the development plans . The money spent on the weapons of destruction will be spent on education, health services, and so on. Finally, I'd like to point out that what I have just written about this important topic is like adding a drop of water to the ocean !
