Body planes
Coronal or frontal plane :
A vertical plane running from side to side and divides the body or any of its parts into anterior and posterior portions .
Horizontal or Transverse plane :
A plane which divides the body or any of its parts into upper and lower parts.
Sagittal plane :
A vertical plane running from to back and divides the body or any of its parts into
right to left sides.
Median or midsagittal plane :
It is a sagittal plane through the midline of the body and divides the body or any of its parts into right and left halves.
