In Year Two WB, page 12, Ex 2, section 4, it is written "It is easy and sometimes cheaper." I think it must be written "it is easier" to keep the structure parallel.

The author did not intend to compare the ease of online and offline shopping, thus the comparative easier was not used. He is just saying that it is easy. Thus a parallel structure is not needed here.
