افتراضي If he missed the bus, he won’t be here on time

"If he missed the bus, he won’t be here on time." What does it mean?
Imagine that Ahmed and Bashir are in downtown waiting for their friend Kareem, who is coming by bus from Madinat Nasr. They are supposed to meet at 9 o’clock. It is now 8:55 and Kareem isn’t there yet. Ahmed is wondering if Kareem is going to be late. Did he miss the bus? So he says, “If he missed the bus, he won’t be here on time.”

“If he missed the bus” = if he got to the bus stop too late, that is, if he got to the bus stop after the bus he needed had already passed.

“he won’t be here on time” = he won’t reach here (where we are waiting for him) at or before the appointed time.

If Kareem missed the bus, he’ll have to wait for another bus and he will be late for his meeting with Ahmed and Bashir.

Does that make it clear?
