please could any one aswer these question

all my question is in the story

1)how would they go to the center of the earth?
in this question i was very puzzled cause he want from me to write all what happened in the story or not i dont know

. They 'd go to the center of the earth through sneffels crater **

2)why did they leave the spring of water ?

. To show them the quickest way down **

3)_where was the cave ?

. In the small passage after they had left the main chimney **
