The Nile basin crisis
Egypt is the gift of the Nileمصر هبة النيل . This a wise saying said by Herodotusهيرودوت centuries ago. Today we can say that The Nile is the artery of life شريان الحياة in Egypt on which we depend mainly to irrigate نروى our fields and to drink .So messing around التلاعبthe share حصة of Egypt from the Nile water is an undeniable national security caseقضية امن قومى لايمكن انكارها .I can say that banningمنع a drop of waterقطرة ماء to reach us in Egypt will be met with shedding millions of blood dropsاراقة ملايين القطرات من الدم to restore it.لاستعادتها
I would like to hint outالمح الى that it is remarkable جدير بالذكرthat throughout history the great Egyptian rulersحكام paid attention to the Nile and its strategic importance اهمية استراتيجية as part of our national security since the time of ancient Egyptians. I will not speak in ancient history but I will speak about the modern history. Mohamed Ali understood the importance of both Sudan and the Nile sources and thus he expanded توسع in the South before he would go to the East and to the North building his fast empire.امبراطورية
There have been continuous warnings تحذيرات مستمرةthat Israel was and is still messing around in the Nile Basin countries encouraging them to build dams giving them expertise الخبرةneeded to do such thing in order to affect Egypt's share from the Nile water.
I want to hint out that there is a huge responsibility lay on us whether a regime or the people. We are wasting the Nile water in the best way we can using it in useless projects like golf courses and those endless swimming pools everywhere where as farmers do not have access to clean water and use sewage instead and people across the country can't have a clean glass of water !!!!??
Of course the official media is attacking the farmers and does not dare to open its mouth against the businessmen who are wasting our precious water in useless projects and polluting with their industrial and chemical wastes. I believe the current crisis , the current struggle is an alarm to all of us.
Some people say that we are on the vergeاعتاب of the first water war in the world , I disagree , we can reach to a peaceful solutionحلول سلمية that will make everyone happy if we really want to. If we have a real cooperation with the Nile basin countries , if we can make them our really allies حلفاء, if we want to stop Israel for messing around تتلاعبus and threateningتهدد our national security امن قومى we must think in strategic way in winning allies and friends. Those African countries need us as much as we need them.
هــــــــــــــــام جدا Translation to the current events 1-We should cooperate together to stop violence in schools. 2- Thanks to Mubarak's wise policy in leading the government, the Egyptian economy wasn't affected by the world economic crisis. 3-President Mubarak returned home from abroad after having a successful operation. 4- Egypt successfully organized the junior Football World Cup for the under twenty. 5- Schools have been affected greatly by the rumours concerning swine flu. 6-Egypt's winning of the African Nations Cup for the third straight time is considered unperceded achievement. 7- Egypt's winning of the African Nations Cup for the third straight time proved that the national team didn't win by luck. 8- Presisent Mubarak is determined to continue the reforms which deepen democracy and put religion in a place away from politics. 9- The volcanic dust resulted from the Icelandic volcano hindered aviation in the whole of Europe. 10- In his speech , President Mubarak promised that the state intended to pensions to cope with the high rise in prices . 11-The Egyptian stock money market lost about 31 billion pounds due to a sharp decline in the financial dealings . 12- Last month ,Japan launched the first probe satellite to the planet of Venus . 13- The number of the workers in many factories decreases because of the World economic crisis. Or The world economic crisis resulted in decreasing the number of labours in many factories . 14- The announcement of the American President of visiting Sultan Hassan mosque aroused our doubts . 15- All countries around the world should unite together to find a solution to the world economic crisis . 16- The Israeli settlements should be removed sooner or later. 17- We hoped that Egypt could take part in the 2010 Football World Cup championship in South Africa . 18- The separating match between Egypt and Algerie proved that we should put a barrier between politics and sports to maintain the Arab unity. 19- The torrents which destroyed a lot of villages in Upper Egypt are one of the natural disasters ,so we should take precautions against them. 20- The visit of the American president Obama to Cairo is considered a new start in the Arab –America's relationships. 21- Swine flu disease aroused fear among people especially schools and universities' students. 22-The youth who illegally emigrate expose themselves to dangers and death. 23- Egypt should improve and strengthen its relationships with the Nile basin countries so as not to give Israel the chance to interfere in the region's affairs. 24-Egypt's winning of the African Nations Cup for the 6th time was the reason for all Egyptians' happiness. 25- The Israeli assault on the Liberty fleet is considered a violation to the international legitimacy. 26- Since the outbreak of swine flu disease, Egypt has taken strict measures to protect its citizens from it . بعص الأحداث الجارية 2010 علينا جميعاً ان نتعاون لوقف العنف فى المدارس . بفضل سياسة مبارك الحيمكة للحكومة المصرية لم يتأثر الاقتصاد المصرى بالأزمة الإقتصادية العالمية . عاد الرئيس مبارك من الخارج إثر عملية جراحية ناجحة . نظمت مصر بطولة كأس العالم للناشئين تحت عشرين سنة بنجاح كبير. لقد تاثرت المدارس سلبياً بسبب الشائعات المتعلقة بأنفلونزا الخنازير . إن فوز مصر ببطولة كأس الامم الافريقية للمرة الثالثة على التوالى يعد إنجازاً غير مسبوق . إن فوز مصر ببطولة كأس الأمم الأفريقية للمرة الثالثة على التوالى أثبت أن المنتخب لا يفوز بضربة حظ. أكد الرئيس مبارك تمسكة بإستكمال الإصلاحات التى ترسخ الديمقراطية وتنأى بالدين عن السياسة . أعاق الغبار البركانى الناتج عن بركان أيسلندا حركة الطيران فى اوروبا كلها . وعد الرئيس مبارك فى خطابة أن الدولة تنوى تحسين المعاشات حتى تواكب إرتفاع الاسعار. خسرت البورصة المصرية ما يقدر ب 31 بليون جنية إثر إنخفاض حاد فى التعاملات المالية. أطلقت اليابان أول صاروخ إستكشافى لكوكب الزهرة الشهر الماضى . أدت الأزمة الإقتصادية العالمية إلى تقليل الكثير من الشركات لعدد العمالة بها. إن إعلان الرئيس الأمريكى اوباما عن زيارة مسجد السلطان حسن أثار شكوكنا . يجب أن تتكاتف الدول لإيجاد حلاً للأزمة الإقتصادية العالمية . يجب ان يتم إزالة المستوطنات الإسرائلية من الضفة الغربية إن أجلاً او عاجلاً . كنا نتمنى مشاركة مصر فى بطولة كأس العالم لكرة القدم 2010 فى جنوب أفريقيا . أثبتت المباراة الفاصلة بين مصر و الجزائر انة يجب علينا الفصل بين الرياضة والسياسة للمحافظة على الوحدة العربية . إن السيول التى دمرت العديد من قرى الصعيد هى أحد الكوارث الطبيعية لذا يجب ان نتخذ كل الإجراءات الإحتياطية لها . تعتبر زيارة الرئيس الامريكى اوباما للقاهرة صفحة جديدة للعلاقات العربية الامريكية . أثار مرض انفلونزا الخنازير الذعر بين الناس خاصاً طلاب المدارس و الجامعات . إن الشباب الذين يهاجرون هجرة غير شرعية يعرضوا أنفسهم للخطر والموت. يجب على مصر أن تحسن و تقوى علاقتها بدول حوض النيل حتى لا تعطى الفرصة لإسرائيل بالتدخل فى شئون المنطقة. إن فوز مصر ببطولة الامم الافريقية للمرة السادسة كان سبباً فى سعادة كل المصريين إن الهجوم الإسرائيلى على أسطول الحرية يعد انتهاكاً للشرعية الدولية. 26- لقد اتخذت مصر إجراءات صارمة لحماية مواطنيها منذ تفشى مرض انفلونزا الخنازير.
