President Hosni Mubarak announced he would not run inthe upcoming presidential election .. Stressing that it would work during the remaining monthsof the current mandate to take measures and actions achieved the peacefultransition of power under the Constitution grants him hispowers.
He called on President Mubarak in his speech last nightand broadcast on Egyptian television the current parliament, both houses of thepeople and the Shura Council to discuss the amendment of articles "76" and "77" of the Constitution, including amending the conditions of nomination for thepresidency. And adopt specific periods for thepresidency.

Astglhm soon .. Is seeking to create chaos ..And resorting to violence and confrontation .. And jumped on the constitutional legitimacy and pounceon them.
أعلن الرئيس حسني مبارك أنه لن يترشح في الانتخابات الرئاسية المقبلة.. مؤكداً أنه سيعمل خلال الأشهر المتبقية من ولايته الحالية علي اتخاذ التدابير والاجراءات المحققة للانتقال السلمي للسلطة بموجب ما يخوله له الدستور من صلاحيات.
ودعا الرئيس مبارك ــ في كلمة ألقاها مساء أمس وأذاعها التليفزيون المصري ــ البرلمان الحالي بمجلسيه الشعب والشوري الي مناقشة تعديل المادتين "76" و"77" من الدستور بما يعدل شروط الترشيح لرئاسة الجمهورية. ويعتمد فترات محددة للرئاسة.

أتحدث إليكم في أوقات صعبة.. تمتحن مصر وشعبها.. وتكاد أن تنجرف بها وبهم.. إلي المجهول.
يتعرض الوطن لأحداث عصيبة.. واختبارات قاسية.. بدأت بشباب ومواطنين شرفاء.. مارسوا حقهم في التظاهر السلمي.. تعبيراً عن همومهم وتطلعاتهم.. سرعان ما استغلهم.. من سعي لاشاعة الفوضي.. واللجوء إلي العنف والمواجهة.. وللقفز علي الشرعية الدستورية والانقضاض عليها.
