First Salafi to run for President
CAIRO: Cassation Judge and International arbitrator Zein al-Abedeen Abdel Aziz is the first
Salafi to announce his nomination for the upcoming presidential election.
He said the next president will depend on media portrayal to mirror his credibility to Egyptians.
He said honest policy is necessary and forging votes is unacceptable, as was practiced in former parliamentary elections, in a press conference, in Syndicate of Journalists.
Commenting on his slogan ‘Islam is good and safe,’ Abdel Aziz said the aim is to support Islamic Law. He refused the

phobia in the circumstance that they govern Egypt.
As for his campaign, Abdel Aziz said it will focus on issues regarding education, judiciary rule, police, foreign affairs, and will push for Islamic call (Daawa).
Abdel-Aziz was a Muslim Brotherhood member for 10 years and then became a Salafi.
