Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak warned this week that the secular nature of his country was under threat from the

Muslim Brotherhood


حذر الرئيس مبارك من ان العلمانيه فى مصر مهدده بسبب الاخوان المسلمون


In an interview with the Egyptian
weekly al-Osboa,


وذلك فى مقابله معه لجريدة الاسبوع
Mubarak warned against the establishment of a religious Islamic state in Egypt,

and against the ascendance of the Muslim Brotherhood to power.

وحذر من تأسيس دوله اسلاميه ومن صعود الاخوان للسلطه



The president added that if the Muslim Brotherhood succeeded in taking over the country, the world would isolate them, as they have done Hamas in the Palestinian Authority

.واضاف ان تولى الاخوان السلطه سوف يؤدى الى عزل العالم لهم كما حدث لحماس مع السلطه الفلسطينيه
Mubarak added, “In such a situation, many will take their money and leave the country. Investments will stop

واضاف انه فى تلك الحاله سوف يتم سحب الاموال وتتوقف الاستثمارات


. Unemployment will grow, and Egypt will be isolated from the world.

وسوف تزيد البطاله وتزيد عزلة مصر عن العالم

There are varied, and even opposing, opinions about a secular country or a religious country in Egypt.
هناك اراء متنوعه و متعارضه حول ان تصبح مصر علمانيه او دينيه



I can say that the Muslim Brotherhood is a danger to the security of Egypt because it is walking in a religious path…


و يمكن القول ان الاخوان يشكلون خطراً لأمن مصر بسبب الاتجاه الدينى
We support a secular country in which citizens can enjoy civil rights.


و نحن ندعم الدوله العلمانيه والتى يتمتع فيها الجميع بحقوق مدنيه
