Chinese citizen Liu Hongwei arrives from Egypt at the Pudong international in Shanghai January 31, 2011. China urged a return to order in Egypt as soon as possible without openly taking sides in the unrest threatening President Hosni Mubarak's regime. China's response reflects its traditional reluctance to criticize other authoritarian governments in the developing world, as well as its limited sway in the Middle East, which is a major source of oil for the fast-growing Asian economy. Hongwei was in Egypt as a tourist when thousands of protesters took to the streets calling for Mubarak's resignation
