God has provided us with bountiful natural resources so that we can lead a comfortable life. Thus, any part of our natural environment such as land, water, air, minerals, forest, grassland, wildlife, fish or anything that man can utilize to promote his welfare, may be considered as Natural Resources. We consume natural resources faster than the planet can renew them. We are running out of our world’s most precious resources, such as water, energy, trees, wildlife, and minerals. Therefore, we must do our best to protect these natural resources. One of the sources of nature which should be protected in Egypt is the Nile water. The Nile, as everyone knows, , is the source of life for all Egyptians. We depend on it for drinking, washing, irrigating our cultivated lands, and generating electricity. However, we don't keep it clean! We throw everything into it as if it were our litter basket! We ourselves, not our “enemies’, dirty it with our own hands. Some farmers throw their dead animals and birds into it. Some people living in cities and towns throw their old tyres and cars. Factories throw their waste chemicals and garbage into it. In this way, the waters of the Nile are poisoned. We have to stop all these malpractices at once. If we don't protect all our natural resources, we will certainly feel sorry.
