it was much easier for me to pretend to be him than to pretend to me by neighbour at home

It was much easier for me to pretend to be the king than to pretend to Rudolf himself by neighbour at home
for example
1- Rudolf learnt alot about how a country is run,but he made mistakes
2- Rudolf became very good at pretending but he had forgotten the rules and some times the people he met
