خطأ شائع وفادح neither....nor

بينا أنا أقرأ شرح درس "ربط الجمل" من كتاب "ذا بست" إذ وجدت أن الكتاب يقول إنه إذا بدأنا الجملة بكلمة Neither...nor
تصبح الجملة على شكل سؤال.

فاستشرت بعض كتب "الجرامر" فلم أجد بها هذا التركيب
واستشرت أيضا بعض القواميس لا سيما قاموس "بوكشيلف" وقاموس "كامبريدج" للمتعلم ذي المستوى المتقدم, ولكني لم أجد التركيب أيضا

وبفضل الله وتوفيقة وجدت الرابط التالي بخصوص هذا الأمر على موقع "لونجمان"

What about using "neither" in the beginning? Is this sentence correct? Neither did he come nor did he phone.

No, that sentence is not correct. I think you are confusing neither ... nor with neither.
When we have neither ... nor, a sentence can begin with neither only when there are two elements in the subject: Neither Jack nor Jill went up the hill again.

Jack didn’t go up the hill again. Jill didn’t go up the hill again.
Neither Jack nor Jill went up the hill again.
Jack didn’t go up the hill again and neither did Jill.
Jack didn’t go up the hill again. Neither did Jill.
