التليفزيون له بعض الآثار السلبية وأظهرت الدراسات فى الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية أن الأطفال اليوم أكثر بدانة من الأطفال من قبل لأنهم يأكلون كثيراً عند مشاهدة التليفزيون وأظهرت هذه الدراسات أن الأطفال الذين يقضوا فترات طويلة فى مشاهدة التليفزيون يكونوا أسوأ من المدرسة.
