- Runs out , It takes million of years to make such as energy from fossils(coal- oil--)

3- Atomic Energy (Nuclear Energy)
الطاقة الذرية او النووية
- Energy produced by splitting atoms.

4- Hydro-Electricity الطاقة الكهرومائية
- Made from running water.

5- Geothermal Energy الطاقة الحرارية بباطن الأرض
- Energy that comes from hot rocks under the ground.

6- Recycling اعادةالتصنيع
- Treating things that have been used rather to be reused again such as paper, glass and steel.


7- Fossil Fuel الوقود الحفرى
- A fuel such as coal or oil that is produced by the gradual decaying of animal or plants over millions of years.
8- Windmills طواحين الهواء
- Convert the power of wind into electricity.

9- Landfill مكان رمى القمامة
- A large deep hole where rubbish is deposed or buried.

B- Unit Two:-

1- Biography السيرة الذاتية
- An account of person's life written by someone else.

2- Gallery معرض
- A room or building in which works of art are shown.

3- Playwright كاتب مسرحى
- A person who writes plays.

4-Illiterate امى

-Unable to read or write.

5- Staff هيئة موظفين

- A group of workers employed in a business.

6- Bilingual ثنائى اللغة

-A person who speaks two languages.

C- Unit Three:-

1-Location موقع
- A place or position of areas, countries or buildings.

2- Destination وجهة الوصول
- The place to which someone is going.

3- Earth Gravity الجاذبية الارضية
- The force which causes things to drop to the ground.

4- Representative : مندوب
- Someone who speaks or acts for you or your company .
5- Stock مخزون

- A store of goods.

6- Orbit مدار

- A path followed by a planet round another.

7- Spinning الغزل

- Changing wool into thread.

8-A smart car السيارة الذكية

- A car that is equipped with the latest electronic technology including the computer and the internet.

D- Unit Four:-

1- Solar eclipse كسوف الشمس
- When the moon is between the earth and the sun .

2- Lunar eclipse خسوف القمر
-When the earth is between the sun and the moon.



3- Total eclipse الكسوف او الخسوف الكلى
- When the light of the sun or the moon disappears completely.

4- Partial eclipse الكسوف او الخسوف الجزئي
- When the light of the sun or the moon disappears in part .

5- Superstition الخرافة
- Ideas of magic which is strange and impossible

or) Things that are thought to bring either good luck or bad luck

6- Astronomer عالم الفلك
- A scientist who studies the stars , planets الكواكب and other objects in the space.They can predict things .

7- Atmosphere الغلاف الجوى
-A mixture of gases خليط منت الغازات that surrounds the earth يحيط بالأرض

8- Crew طاقم عمال
- A group of people that work in a ship or a plane.

E- Unit Six:-

1- Reclamation استصلاح الارض
- Making land from desert suitable for agriculture.

2-Capital رأس المال
- The money you need to start a business.

3- Greenhouse الصوبة
- A glass building used for growing plants that need warmth, light and protection.

4- Suburb ضاحية
- A district way from the center of a town or a city.

5- Prune يقلم الشجر
- To cut down a tree to look beautiful.

F- Unit Seven:-

1- Nomadic بدوى
-A person who doesn’t stay long in one place or who travels from place to place.

2- Raiders المغيرون

- Some people who make a surprise attack .

3- Watchtower برج المراقبة

-A high tower from which guards , soldiers keep watch.

4-Graveyard ساحة المدافن

- A place where dead people are buried.

5- Barracks ثكنات الجيش

- A large building for soldiers to live in.

6- Congestion ازدحام / اكتظاظ

- The state of being crowded.

7- Workforce القوة العاملة

-The number of people working in a company or a factory.

G- Unit Eight:-

1- The trunk الجذع :
- The main stem of a tree, it supports a mass of branches , It is the strongest part of a tree .

2- Branch فرع :
- Part of the tree that has leaves, flowers or fruit.
3- Bark اللحاء:
- The outer layer of the trunk.

4- Root جذر :
- The part of a plant that grows under the ground and transports water and mineral salts from the ground to the trunk , It holds the tree securely in the ground .

5- The leaves الأوراق :
-The food factory of the tree.

6- The annual rings الحلقات السنوية :
- Each ring represents a year

7- Cell خلية :
- a very small unit of living matter .

8- Drought الجفاف :
- a period of continuous dry weather ( no rain

9-Rain forests الغابات المطيرة
- Forests found in places that have a lot of rain.
10-Deciduous trees أشجار تسقط أوراقها فى الشتاء Trees that lose their leaves in winter .

11-Coniferous trees أشجار دائمة الخضرة
Evergreen trees (don’t lose their leaves).

H- Unit Nine:-

1- Photosynthesis البناء الضوئي
- The way the green plants make their food using sunlight.

2- Thermometer:-الترمومتر
- An instrument for measuring temperature.





3- Microscope الميكروسكوب

-An instrument that makes extremely small things look larger.

4- Stethoscope سماعة الطبيب

- A medical instrument that is used by a doctor to hear the sound of the heartbeat.

5- Chlorophyll الكلوروفيل
- The green substance in the plant which enables them to make their food it changes energy from the sun into chemical energy .

6- Hydroponics الزراعة فى الماء او الرمال
- The science of growing plants without soil
( in sand or water) .

7- Hanging gardens الحدائق المعلقة
-Gardens setup on top of mountains
