ever , never ,just , already وغيرهم

already, yet, just, always, ever, never, so far, still, It`s the first time, etc.

We have already seen this film before.
Samy hasn`t finished his homework yet.
I have just phoned Ali.
Mum has always loved animals.
Have you ever been abroad?
She has never been to France (before).
I have sent twenty invitations so far.
I still haven't found what I'm looking for.
Have you had a holiday this year?
It`s the first time he has driven a car.
It`s ages/two years since I last saw Hany.

How long is it since you last saw Hany?

Keywords that are used with BOTH Present Perfect Simple & Continuous:
for, since, how long, lately, recently.

how long: How long have you known Samir? How long have you been learning English?
for (+ period of time): I have known Samir for 5 years. She has been living here for the last 20 years.
since (+ starting point):They have been married since 1998. We have been living here since 1980.

lately/recently: Have you seen any films recently/lately? She has been working hard recently/lately.

all day/night/week (but it depends), this (but it depends). Generally, we use Continuous when we refer to a long duration.

I have been studying all night. DURATION
I have studied all the subjects and I`m ready for the exams. AMOUNT / QUANTITY / NUMBER

Salma has been studying hard this year.
She has read this chapter.
She has been reading this chapter for long.
