افتراضي five grandchildren

Mr. Lobs had lived in Plymouth Meeting from 1957 to 1993, when he moved to Brittany Pointe. He was a member of building owners and managers associations. He had been an active member of Central Schwenkfelder Church in Worcester, Montgomery County, for the last three years and sang in the church choir. Previously, he was a 37-year member of Church of St. Jude and the Nativity in Lafayette Hill, where he had been the senior warden and a vestryman. At Brittany Pointe, Mr. Lobs was a member of the chorus and the barbershop quartet, and played the trumpet. As a younger man, he enjoyed rowing along the Schuylkill. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marjorie Ramsdell Lobs; children the Rev. Dr. G. Richard 3d and Warren M.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at noon today at Central Schwenkfelder Church, Hunter Hill Drive near Valley Forge Road (Route 63) north of Township Line Road (Route 73) in Worcester. Burial was to be private. The family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society, 608 E. Main St., Lansdale, Pa. 19446. So Lower Merion's 3-0 victory over Great Valley certainly contained its share of irony. Lower Merion finally garnered the district crown, and Valley finally found out what it was like to lose in 1988. Both teams will be back in action again tonight as the Class AAA state tournament begins. Lower Merion will face Boyertown, the third-place team from District 3, at 7 p.m. at Upper Moreland. Great Valley will play Bethlehem Liberty, the second seed from District 11, at 6 p.m. at Central Bucks West. Ans Conestoga, District 1's third-place finisher after beating Council Rock 2-0 in Monday's consolation game, will play Wilson-West Lawn the top seed from District 3 at 6 p.m. at Northern Lebanon. Although Monday's final looked to be a classic matchup, Lower Merion's superior forward speed and tight defense simply dominated the game. Lower Merion scored one goal in each of the first three periods. And led by Andy Sherman's steadfast marking of one of Great Valley's top guns, Juacqin Irons, the Aces never let the Pats find the spark offensively. "I'd have to say it was our best game of the playoffs," Lower Merion coach Bob Robinson said after his club went to 19-1-5 overall. "We've been waiting for Lou (Spivak) to get going because he has so much potential. And Chris Schreiner just played a great game." Certainly, Spivak and Schreiner stole the individual spotlights Monday. Schreiner crossed from the right side to Spivak waiting in the slot in the first period, and Spivak banged one home off the left post with 8 minutes, 39 remaining in the quarter.
