و الصحيح ان كلا الكلمتين ياتى بعدها فعل جمع والمثال التالى من الكتاب المدرسى يوضح ذلك

1- olympics: is highly regarded as a whole tornament, hence it is counted into singular
2- olympic games: should be in the sense of lowly-separated games so it is counted into plural
