Military rulers deny clemency for Mubarak

CAIRO--The Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, which has been running the affairs of Egypt since last February, Wednesday denied media reports that it plans to pardon former president Hosni Mubarak and his family

The Council does not interfere in any way in the legal procedures related to prosecuting members of the former regime," added the military rulers in their homepage on Facebook.
Mubarak is under detention in a hospital in the Red Sea resort town of Sharm el-Sheikh, while his two sons, Alaa and Gamal, are being jailed in a prison on the outskirts of Cairo.
