ancient world. It was about 130 metres tall and it was one of the tallest
structures on earth. It was built around 280 BCE. A lighthouse is a tower
that shines light to ships at sea to warn them about dangers, like rocks
that cannot be seen in the dark. Therefore, the Lighthouse had helped
many ships when the sailors could not see well.
